Greetings LL, and residents,

This is the first time I've had to actually post on the forums on any game I liked. Saddly its on something I've became aware of and frankly hated. I will agree I've spent about 40 dollars on SL through my 2 month treck of the vast lands. And with the latest update I was greatful for some functions but was appaulled by dozens of other problems.

First of the age limit, having it to where it was removed while the vast majority of SL is mature rated pratically opens doors to several hundred lawsuits as children as young as 5 are becoming more and more computer savy. Much less internet surfing. Making it extremely easy for SL to be found, downloaded, register and let the lawsuits fly. If Linden Labs wish to stay in business without becoming targets by parents or legal guardians it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that they fix this problem fast before any damage can occur.

Registration limits...I will admit there are few out there that have several accounts, but to allow anyone to register with MULTIPLE accounts? Come on Even Furcadia has a limit of how many accounts one has. Yes, I've played Furcadia and they had a much better system in some ways dispite the 2D design. I came to SL actually liking most of the features. But like I've said there are problems morally and legally that is concerning me.

Now Griefers...to be honest I've never heard of a greifer till a few SL friends told me what griefers were. And to be frank from what I've heard...sure there are Griefer Slayers or whatever but come on...its far too easy to be a griefer at this point. If you really wish to eliminate Griefers make it HARDER to become one...not easier. For some people it is becoming far too easy to be a griefer...and GET AWAY WITH IT! Honestly LL grow a backbone and try to correct some of these problems if you wish to keep SL going. Because from what I've been hearing...you may lose a LOT of RESIDENTS because of these problems, and soon have a failed product after what 2-3 years of having it up and running?

This concludes my rant if you wish to add to it Residents go for it. Because if you want things to change...then voice it because nothing will if you don't try.

You make some very valid points Vance, and remarkably well stated, i for one hope that LL listens. They have created such an awsome product here, years of work and testing have gone into SL. Its an incredible shame that perhaps for lack of a better word, greed has taken over and they may be looking at the beginning of the end.

When quality is compromised for larger profits, its down the path of distruction for any viable enterprise. But alas i see it coming, unlimited alts, no assurance that minors are not in the main mature sims, and its all i can see to build circulation numbers for when LL goes totally commercial, and has major sponsers advertising in all the sims for the big bucks. What i think LL may not realize, is the big boys play tough, and smart and soon if not before they launch spendy sponserships, they research and have huge resources to do so, and will most likely see thru these fake numbers.

So in conclusion, they will piss off their "paying" customer base to get the advertising that may or may not exist for them, which ive said all along is a bad move, and will come back to bite them in the ass big time. LL needs a really good business manager, adviser, marketing person that knows what they are doing, and not out there chasing pipe dreams. LOL am laffing...cant wait for the billboards..
