Camera Controls gone haywire since forced "upgrade"

Since the forced upgrade, my camera controls are out of my control. One, tiny click and my viewer spins in slow motion. I cannot stop the movement until ti decides to stop itself, wherever it decides to stop itself.

Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

If I want to uninstall and reinstall, do I uninstall SL completely first and then reinstall it from the secondlife website? Would my avi cease to exist if i uninstall?

All the critical information about your avatar, land holdings, inventory, etc. are stored on Linden Lab's systems, and are not affected by whether you uninstall Second Life. If you use the forum search for camera controls you might find some posts related to your problem.

Camera Transition Time and Camera Smoothing

Lindens don't seem to have a problem with these, but I have to be careful that they're shoved all the way to zero, or I get a blind stagger experience, until Motion Sickness sets in. They came with, but are not officially part of, Windlight. Look for them in Preferences, but I always forget which category.
Installing and uninstalling a viewer is always relative to a directory, and your registration with Second Life is on a directory of someone else's computer.
If the world is insufferably dark, at sunrise and sunset, that's something about Ambient Light, a long and confusing search, but I recall something about World -> Environment -> Advanced Sky -> Ambient Light. The easy way, is just to install 1.19.0, and change the phrase that clues the system as to which viewer you're using.

with the 1.20.17 I noticed evrythign was bobbing aroudn when i used the camera controls. So the point I thought I was actual going to vomit. I found setting Camera Smothing to 0.0 fixed that for me. It's in Edit > Prefs > Input & Camera and it's the last slider bar there.

Oh I was getting that with 1.19.1 or higher. That is why I was stickign with 1.19.0. I have found with 1.20.17 turning off Enable OpenGL Vertex Buffer Objects fixes that. Edit > Prefs > Graphics > Check Custom > Hardware Options.

I really wouldn't think that I'd have issues liek that withw a GF8800GT. I know it's not the latest and greatest video cards but damn...
