Also they are INCREDIBLY SLOW. I.e., I type something and 20 seconds later it appears in the group chat! WTH.

Yes, here too.
1) window refusing to stay closed on Group IM
2) Window not listing itself as Group IM
3) Group IM showing up several minutes after sent and starting up the log, tedious yelling at each other to "shut up" once again
4) People leaving groups in droves just to escape the group IMs.
/me sits, crossed legged, on the ground and waits for the Lindens to show

go to jira.secondlife.com and vote for VWR-513 Group IMs Not Working Properly!!!
you can do a search for VWR-513 in the upper right hand corner after you have logged in.

My biggest problem right now with the group messages is when I get a message, and close it, then when anyone else messages the group it just brings it up again.
They are also very slow.

And I can confirm that bluelinden's blog that "Yesterday’s Issues Addressed with Rolling Restart (Friday, May 25th, 2007)" is completely bogus -- group IMs are still completely bjorked.
And why aren't they accepting responses to that blog?
