Friends of the Work of Starax Statosky

One of the sheer delights of my first days on Second Life was a Hippo made by Starax Statosky. As a newbie I delighted going to an island that had several of his sculptures and was thrilled whenever I saw any of his work. I never met Starax but was thrilled beyond belief when I received my very own hippo (Warren). I only made it into his shop a couple of times but was very saddened to hear that he has left Second Life.

I could imagine no better idea for a show than to get together people who are fans and friends of this incredible artist and show some of his works. This Sat in Topgol (65,29,50) at the new Gallery on Hardwired's Tye Dye Shopfrom 4-5:30pm SL time. I invite all to join me with ideas to plan for such a show. Members of the Magic Wand Society and /or wand owners are encourage to hang out and demo those wands for us as well and perhaps see how that might fit into the show.

Yesterday' s event had a nice turn out and we have formed a committe to further plan the event.
Those of you who are familiar with the works of Starax know that he had some pretty big pieces and we have had the offer of an entire sim to put together this show if needed or might make it multi-site. If you have any of the larger pieces, (or know those who do) we now have the space to show them please let me know if you would let us have it on loan for the show which we are thinking will be about a month. Show will probably be Sept - October please post of IM me with any interests or questions. If you are interested in seeing the show will post the dates and place(s) as soon as we have set information.
