My brother and his wife will finally be arriving via plane after their very long ordeal out of New Orleans, so as of tomorrow (Thursday) I will unavailable for a couple or few days while I spend time with them and then get them delivered safely to the in-laws place in California. If anyone needs me for anything, drop a message and I'll try to answer anything important. Customer requests will have to wait for a bit since I probably won't be logging on.

I read in another post that Siggy's brother was trying to walk out of New Orleans and had been turned back by the National Guard and I'd wondered how he was doing and if he got out. My thoughts are with you and with Siggy's family - it's going to be tough. Please let me know if there is anything that I can do to help (I'm serious about that).

Thanks very much for the well-wishes all! My brother and his wife are safe and sound, which is the important thing. Friends and relatives have been very generous and helped out a lot. They're luckier than most of the refugees from the region, and they realize that. They're in decent spirits, and it's been a nice visit despite the circumstance that forced it. Tomorrow (Sunday) we'll be driving them to my sister-in-law's mother's house in California, and soon after they'll be set up in an apartment. Thankfully, they're both credited to teach in California, so finding work shouldn't be too hard. If their luck holds, we'll be able to get them back to NOLA to salvage what they can when it's safe to do so I told our refugees about the efforts done in SL to raise money for Katrina Relief, and also about Relay for Life. They were both very impressed and very moved by the efforts, so thanks to all who have gone above and beyond as well. People do appreciate it. I'll be around again after a couple more days. Thanks to everyone for understanding the absence and for the warm wishes.

Just curious, in what way are Siggy and Jonquille related? Married? Oops... I'm glad they are safe and sound. I hope they are able to salvage some of their things. Again, if I can do something to help, IM me. Rose
