With much regret, I am pulling out of Team Atlantis. Before the rumor mill starts as to why, I rather let you know the reasons.
From conception to completiton, my personal life was torn apart, my father was dying of cancer. He was a true believer in the forgotten mystical city. I share his belief.
I never accepted payment for building this sim, that took nearly 4 months. It was a gift to my dear friend Chablis Kinsella. Every texture and prim was thought out. Even though I could not build sculptures, unlike my father, who was a wonderful sculptor, I only picked and purchases the ones that represented what I was trying to get across. A mysitical mythical world. The blank sim was my canvas, my prim was my paintbrush. Most days I would be building and rebuilding for at least 14 hours. Driven. I never understood til a while ago. It was not for the rates, or the glory, "omg Tya you are an amazing builder"It wasnt to please my friend Chablis. It was for my dad, to say. .Dad guess what, Atlantis does exists. How my heartached that I could not show him. He would have loved it.
Half way though the build, my father passed away. I did not know how to handle the greif. I had never lost anyone I love so much. I sank further and further in my work. Not being able to bare the loss.
Everytime I go to Atlantis, I can hear my father, I can hear his voice and our talks. Its to painful for me.
I wanted to thanks the 100's of visitors we have had since it opened and all the wonderful comments you have emailed, IMs and also via your rates. I was touched by each one of your comments.
Atlantis is not about a place to have dwell, to be number one. Never was and never will be. Its a place to explore and think the unthinkable. Expand yourself as a human, not as the avatar. Its a place of peace. For me, its a place of unsettle.
My dearest Chablis, I love you to death, We know each other not from this world but from the real world. You truly are my best friend not online, but in life. I want to thank you for allowing me to focus my scattered energy into one place and giving me the trust to show you what I see. If only we didnt run out of prim...
Over the next week, all the prims on Atlantis are being transfered over to Chablis. She will have the sim closed until the transfer is complete. If anyone has inquiries about employment, weddings, events etc.. please contact Chablis.
Will I be apart of Atlantis again. Unsure, right now , its to painful.
With Much Love ~Tya

Atlantis is one of the most beautiful and innovative builds I've seen in SL. This is all compounded with the difficulty of compensating for an underwater build.
There's no reason you shouldn't consider yourself a sculptor. A quick visit to a modern art museum reveals that sculpture is not limited to clay or marble, or even metal or wood or any physical substance.
There isn't anything I could say that I'm in a position to say, however comforting a sentiment may be. Instead, I will leave at this - I hope you keep building in Second Life at this level of quality. We can use more builds like this.

From: Hiro Pendragon I hope you keep building in Second Life at this level of quality. We can use more builds like this. Building is the only way I can release and nuture my creative enengry. SL allows me this and I am thankful for. I am currently working on my own sim, Japanese theme. This will purley be a residence and place to work on build projects. Many people have asked me to build prefab homes. I have played with the idea back and forth and once I am happy with the content in my store. I may getting into prefab and custom homes. My friends can vouch for me, I have said on many occasions, I am on a mission to beautify SL, one prim at a time. *Pokes Hiro... psst.. I may need your advice on japanese builds *

Tya, I have visited Atlantis on several occasions--each time, I have been transported by the beauty and the artistry of that space.
Thank you for making it what it is.
I wish you peace in this difficult time.
