I just wanted to post a public thank you to Blue Burke for the tremendous effort he has put forth on behalf of the vendors in the former Mexican Town sim. With Mexican Town, we fell victim to yet another flaky sim owner deciding without warning to dump a project and cash out, leaving everyone in the lurch (something that happens so often now in SL it is almost laughable). From the very beginning, Blue ensured our transition was as smooth as possible - keeping the previous sim up as long as he could.
When I first received a notecard from Blue introducing himself and explaining his plans for the sim he bought from the previous owners of Mexican Town, I was leery of the whole thing. I had no previous experience with him and was hesistant to enter into another sim. I sent him an IM to ask him some questions, and immediately he was extremely helpful and was very forthcoming about his plans. He invited me to come and pick out a spot while they were still available, and discussed with me his plans for providing support for vendors who were part of the sim, which impressed me. He has been a complete professional the entire time, which is rare to find in the midst of so many "me too" sim owners who want a mall.
I just wanted to thank him for being true to his word. The new E-City sim has turned out beautifully - from the start it had a design plan that maximized performance, which Mexican Town never had (it was just a chaotic maze). I have had more sales in a week in the new sim than I had the entire time in Mexican Town. I look forward to not being just a vendor there, but taking part in events as well. It is nice to be in a place that you feel good about and some attachment to, and already Blue has made a great impression on me. Thanks again.
