Well, Jeska just posted in the Announcements forum, but there are no definite answers. secondlife.com/status says "Second Life Offline for Database Maintenance or Update" but elsewhere on the forums people are relating that they are still in-world, and still able to cross sim borders, etc.

In short? No one knows.

If you're in SL don't log out! I was in Dark Life, couldn't make purchases, and couldn't TP out. Went to relog and got the "Despite our best efforts......" etc.

It's sad with the amount people spend on SL, it can't stay up, or effort put in to stop things like Grid attacks.

Yep.. I was happily dancing along in the dance dome and made the mistake of logging out because I couldn't see profiles. Thought it was me.

*sigh* Probably griefers mucking with the celebration.

I'm still in Caledon, but scripts have stopped working apparently. I was building a gadget that focusses your camera intelligently on people who are chatting, but it stopped working, and then I saw the tram had stopped....

edit: as of right now, the tram has not pinged the server for 1001 seconds, and it should do it every minute

I'm still in Caledon, but scripts have stopped working apparently.

Before my client froze, I noticed that the region I was in suddenly had the "no scripts" and "no rez" boxes pop up. Interesting. Sounds like a 'self replicating grid attack' to me.

Not onl am i getting Despite Best efforts... message, i cannot even access the main SL sight for status, so it appears that the attack or prolem is more then just the grid itself but also the company itself why i can get the forums can only mean its not same place.

I think what he is saying is that he knows they (supposedly LL) can't fix, and he knows this since can't take a crap (perhaps he is overflowing with crap?) since they (supposedly LL) hasn't fixed him. But then again, last I looked LL didn't do vet medicine.. *shrugs* Perhaps a new area of the grid?
