The weather is beautiful, the convention center looks groovy (i'm staying 50 feet from it), and it's nice and crisp here. Bring a sweater

Lordfly sir, you simply *must* hit Berkeley in the evening, take the bart system over there and find some of the lesser reputable establishments. Best done with a lady along, if not several. Trust me on this. Start with the bookstores and then fade to the drinking establishments, and be quick to buy a few rounds for your company. Stick mainly to coffees yourself.

My Girlfriend and I have been here for a couple of days now, not 50 feet from the center but about 4 blocks by map (we haven't walked down there yet). Yesterday we saw the Winchester Mansion and today we visited one of the science museums and ate at one of them there high-class restaraunts where they try to sell you water. :^) Tomorrow morning we'll scout about and see where the convention is..

I'd love to see any pictures you might take of the Bay Area.
Sweater? You lucky dog.
If you can, try to walk across the Golden Gate bridge.
See if they still let you ride the cable cars hanging off the sides.
Also Ghirardelli chocolate might suit you.
Exploratorium might be fun.
The beach is nice, don't expect to do more with the water than barely spash it with you feet, it is cold. There should be some clifflike hills that were fun to climb with a good view of the beach from the top.
The planetarium is nice, they might still have a laser light show worth seeing.
Berkeley was good too.
Enjoy, you lucky thing, I miss the place so enjoy it for me.
