Hi,

Well, I am still a newbie, at least I feel like one, since there is so much to learn.
I wish to thank some of the great people that I have meet in this game. Thanks to you, I will most likely stay in SL.
Everyone I have meet is so kind and helpful! :)

Sometimes I feel so stupid, not just because of that english is my second language, but also because it´s hard to learn some things. I guess I will able to learn more for each time I am in the game.

When the game is up again, I will start to look for a new avatar, that makes me feel a bit more "like me" ;)
If anyone has suggestions for places to find human looking skins, I would be happy to know.

Finally, please forgive my bad english, hope you can understand me anyway.

Take care everyone

Wow, Juliah, that's really sweet.

And your english is quite good - better than many I've seen with English as thier mother tongue. (Including myself, really.)

Welcomew to SL :)

Lots of places... "Chip Midnight's Fine Fashions" and "Jade Wolf" come to mind, but they're just two of many very good designers of skins.

What bad English? It's a lot better than many native English speakers, and certainly better than my Swedish. :)

I am continually impressed by the quality of many Europeans' English skills (when it isn't their first language). We certainly don't put the same emphasis on learning a second or even third language here in the US. (I suspect, though, that we will all be learning Chinese in another five to ten years.)

I like Munchflower Zaius' skins. They are lovely and quite affordable.

Your English looks good to me. Considering the fact that many English speaking people, (myself included*), can't speak another language, I don't think you should be to hard on yourself :)

*I know a little Spanish, but I'm not fluent, much to the amusement of my Spanish-speaking friends when I mangle the language.

I can mangle any language - just give me a keyboard! LOL

Welcome to Sl Juliah!

There are easily a dozen designers of skins, part body tats, face makeup only sets, and combos of all. I understand your wanting to run out and "fix" yourself but maybe give yourself a week or two. I have 9 maybe 10 skins now that I either bought in haste or simply made horrible choices that cost several thousand L all together. Give yourself some time...look very closely at the avies around you. You will start to see ones that really appeal to you. Ask those ladies who their skins are created by. Then go to the those designers' stores and see what is available. Ask the designers too. I have yet to meet a SL designer that wasnt happy to talk to a customer. They work very hard to create beautiful looks for the SL avies and are deservedly proud of their efforts.

You will spend quite a bit on your skins. Even "inexpensive" ones will run you a few hundred Linden, but you will wear that, your contacts and your prim or textured hair all the time. Make your investment wisely. :)

And please dont worry about your English. We all speak internet mutated english with a bit of typonese. ;) And if you get confused please say so - we'll jump in to help! :)

Enjoy SL!
