Due to overwhelming RL issues (I'm suffering from too-much-stuff-at-once-itis) and my always flaky cable internet connection (extra flaky lately... Good Game, Charter Communications!), I'll be taking a forced "leave of absence" from SL for at least the next two weeks. If you do see me on, it won't be for long, I assure you. :/

My apologies to my building customers, who have been waiting for me to finish their jobs for way too long now. Hopefully one of the (better) architects out there can pick up my slack.

Cya on the flipside.

Hurry back Lordfly!

I know what you mean about Charter. We have that also, and it has been very iffy as to whether it wants to let us play SL or not.

Sorry to hear about the trouble, Lordfly. It's a shame that all of us disgruntled Charter customers can't band together and march upon their corporate headquarters. Maybe bring a ryder truck full of a couple tons in pennies so I can pay their exorbitant bills.

Either way, we'll miss ya. I still really appreciate the home you built for me (even though I've had to tier down and it's stuck in inventory for now). It was a beautiful and original design.

Charter! GRRRRRRR and a MILLION TIMES Grrrrrr!

That is my problem, too! I thought I was suffering alone!

They came out, they increased the signal at the street, they came in, said that's the best we can do, there could be water in the line somewhere, or a bent wire (or something like that) and we will keep looking and try to fix it.

Still waiting for them to actually do that. Meanwhile, it just goes out whenever it feels like going out. (The Internet part.)

And all that is once I got them to make the whole thing work in the FIRST place. Which required actually, ME getting it to work in the first place, as the installer left without leaving many any capability of actually accessing the Internet. ("It pings, so it must work, bye.";)

Knowing how often the TV part goes out, I didn't want to do cable in the first place. But I have, only to discover the Internet part goes out far more often than the TV part.
