Two years ago today, I followed a link from the TSO forums to a Slate article about an obscure online world called Second Life. I read the article, and followed another link to the SL website. I downloaded some beta software onto my 2nd fastest machine because I wasn't gonna let some "bug ridden beta software" anywhere near my fastest machine. I was heavily into TSO at the time, and I figured I'd look in, play awhile, and uninstall. When the time came to choose my name, I decided to pick something silly. After 30 minutes of not liking any of the last names available, I chose Leviathan, first name Tiny. Tiny was taken, so I tried Teeny. Teeny was available. Didn't matter anyway, cause I was probably not gonna stay with SL for very long. After a night on Prelude Island, I decided SL was worth sticking with. It was very different from TSO, and not having to spend hours watching my avatar eat sleep or pee was really appealing. Two weeks later, There Inc finally decided to "invite" me into their beta. Too late suckers! That's what they get for waiting 3 months to get back to me.

Funny, I came here due to reading the same Slate.com article as you did. Ain't life great!
I remember the "good old days", hehe,,, Trivia events with Char, attended by you, me and Kanker amongst others. Kanker always won!
