RL has been keeping me away from SL for quite awhile, and my properties are pretty much rotting away with little or no updating. My time in world has mostly been to take care of little issues my patrons might have but beyond that .. nada.

I have many half finished projects, games scripts etc. and it seems a shame to let them rot away too. I had thought about auctioning off my gaming areas, scripts & misc. land to the highest bidder but somehow that seemed, well, wrong. I worked pretty hard to get everything I have and I don't want to just sell it off to some dingleberry who may or may not do something I like with it. So I simply kept it all and continued letting it all stagnate. It is profitable, I told myself, and so long as it covers my land tier I should just leave it. That's exactly what I did, but to be honest it isn't very satisfying to just let stuff rot & fall behind the rest of the world.

Enter my friend. I have a RL friend (and occasional lover), who I talked into getting a SL account awhile back. I helped him build the shell of a club type thing and promised to help him get it up and running. That never happened. Well, to make a long story short (yeah I know .. too late for that LOL!), he kept bugging me and I kept saying I was busy (which I was and am!). His solution was for me to just give him everything I have and let him carry the torch so to speak. Initially, I told him to bugger off because I had every intention of actually continuing my SL work. It has become clear to me that isn't the case any more, and so after much consideration I reluctantly agreed. I figure this way I can still have a guiding hand when I am able and I (hopefully) wont have to worry about it all getting trashed (too much).

Therefore, I officially announce that I am giving my land, gaming areas, scripts & unfinished projects to Ravenous Dingo. He hasn't gotten out in the world much (been waiting on me from what he says) so the name is prolly not known to lots of folks. Hopefully that will change (I dont want to go through all this drama so that my stuff can rot under someone else's name! DO YOU UNDERSTAND, Rav?!). Lets hope he doesn't F* it all up. His ... "style" is a bit different than my own, so I have some concern. However since the vast bulk of my land is in PG areas he shouldn't be able to transform it into anything *too* offensive LOL. Plus he knows I will kick his ass if he does. As much as I can, I will be in the background helping to guide things.

So, if you see him in world selling or using stuff that has my name as the creator, he does have the right to do so.

Exceptions: I will be keeping ZetaNet, since it practically runs itself and I will also be keeping my lab in Stanford (it has a lot of sentimental value) as well as my starship in Gibson (well at least for as long as Tyrell lets me LOL!). In addition, I will also continue to personally maintain any games I have placed at 3rd party locations. I made those agreements and I will continue to honor them personally.

If and when I ever do get some time to be in SL, it will be purely recreational from now on. I'll work on my ship or just play around being silly... like I did in the beginning when this world first captured my heart. I may even do a couple of events from time to time.

The transfer will be gradual but should be finished by the end of the month (timing it with land tier fee billing).

The decision was difficult, and I prolly could have made a decent chunk of change if I sold it all, but at least this way I will still be sort of involved in what I started.

So now *cringe*, I sign over the virtual deed to my virtual property and grant full rights of my intellectual property to Ravenous Dingo. May God have mercy on my soul!

Sorry to hear you won't be spending as much time with us, Taggy, but it's understandable. As long as you are hanging around in the background, I am sure everything will be just peachy. Good luck on your future endeavors!

Are there other builds in Gibson? I'm always too lost in the ship to see much else ha ha. Grats on your transition. May it be smooth and soothing to your mind. I'll make a point of flying over the border and meeting Ravenous one day.
