Why? Because they're racist. Sexist and cant take a joke even if it's NOT AIMED AT THEM.

I've NEVER shot or greifed any sim yet i'm treated like lowly garbage because I'm niether male nor a homosexual.

Did the Fur Nation treat you or somone you know unfairly as well? get rid of yoru Fur Nation land and spread the word. Furnation is menace and an insult to the furry community.

Being an officer of Furnation and being straight, I would say your perception of Furnation is a bit off. Furnation has straights and gays, bi and lesbians, male and female, in fact I spent my evening having a nice chat with a human female avatar in the hot tub surrounded by furries and not one was sexist, racist or unkind in any way. Furnation is open to all and isn't meant to be a gay area or a male area or a straight area, it is a place where furs, fur-curious and non-furs can build, interact and socialize. Unfortunatly it is also a griefing magnet and we as officers spend inordinate amounts of our online time dealing with jackasses. Without pay, I might add, since LL took away dwell payments and incentives. Most have to donate just to keep FN open, I donate $30,000L a month myself because I believe in what is being done there.

We want to enjoy our time online like everyone else and nothing irritates more than having to deal with morons who simply cannot fathom the notion that if you break the rules of Furnation or SL for that matter, you are going to be ejected , banned or both. Leaving nukes in the basement of the Luxor will get you banned, making racial slurs or harassing other FN guests then you are gonna get banned too. And if you get banned and create other accounts to get around banning and are stupid enough to use the same first name and wear the same outfit you will get caught and removed from the game for TOS violations. See, we can look at your mac address and tell if you are on the same computer as can LL.

Again too, we are mortal and prone to mistakes and errors in judgement but we try to be as fair as possible. If you feel you have been treated unfairly then your best bet is to contact Nexxus Ambassador with your complaint and proof of officer misconduct (chat logs, pictures and witnesses etc.) and I guarantee the problems will be corrected.

Furnation is a privately owned estate and as such the owner can allow whomever he/she wishes and eject and or ban as they see fit for any reason or no reason. Trust me, if someone gets banned, 99.9% of the time there is a really good reason.

I'm not at all furry (unless you cound slightly fuzzy arms, a beard, and thick head of hair) but all furries I've met treat me very well. There are gay furries and straight furries, male furries and female furries.

I have yet to meet a not-nice furry actually. I'm sure there are but I've never met one.

Furries arent even a branch of an evolutionary tree except in fantasy..they aren't a race, they are a COSTUME no matter how much you empathize with it.

Oh, and I'm dating a furry. I'm sure she get as much of a kick out of me putting on a furry costume avatar for an event as I did hearing her say 'put on a human costume.'

Its her thing to be furry. She could be a skunk furry for all I care, I like her personality.

I myself don't have a very high opinion of the FN Worlds sims, but not for the reasons you described. For me I've never felt welcomed there even when I was a noob. The community there feels very elitist and not so open like everyone there likes to claim. As a noob it was a challange for me just to get people to say hi back to me, even officers who were just hanging around chatting with other people.

One time I was in the sandbox it took me 20 mins just to get an active officer in the vista sandbox to deal with a griefer who was sending out sound spam followers all over the place. Apparently that officer was too busy building to do his duty as an officer to deal with a problem until the ones that were following me attached to him when I was trying to speak to him face to face about the problem and got in the way of his building. Problems should have to directly involve you to require you to do the job you were given.

Then, being a DJ for Club 69 Radio during the fallout with FN (wich is another messed up story all together), I had become a griefer target for diehard FN fanatics both in and out of those sims (alot of AR's and orbiting of FN furries occured for 2 weeks in self defence). Many of my fellow DJ's and friends went through the same problems, some for even longer. From that alone I had put up with way too much harassment and people trying to shoot/orbit me for no reason to even care about FN if it was to disappear off the face of the grid.

In the end you'll never catch me or my alts in any of the FN sims until it goes under new management (including owner), simple as that. I'm not the only one who feels this way as there are plenty of furries who have been burned by FN and those of us who were wouldn't be the last. Anyone who spends all their time in FN I recomend they check out sims like Promethius, Meeting Island, Lost Furest, or even the Vally sims like FlyinTails and Serenity Woods just to name a few other furry sims to look around at.

Flying Tails. Love that one. One where even a mechanical raven was an honorary furry.

Ron, I am sorry to hear of your problems with Furnation and I will be the first to admit there have been problems. There have also been significant changes in the last few months made to address these problems. There are now community round-tables held three times a week where the community gets together with FN staff to address problems and complaints. There has been a significant change in the way FN is run as well so that the load is better distributed among the officers, used to be there were very few officers doing security, building and admin of Furnation and at one point they were reluctant to log on simply because of the nightmare awaiting them as soon as they were in, including Nexxus.

In recent months things have changed, tasks have been deligated and the leadership has changed. Nexxus has taken a much more passive role in running FN, leaving most decisions up to the officers. There have been liaisons appointed to specifically help the community and improve communication between admins and the community.

I also want to point out that what you call elitism is much more likely being swamped by IMs, away from the keyboard, having the edit window covering the chat/IM box or simply not paying attention. I cannot tell you the number of times I have said hello and "Welcome to Furnation and if you have any questions or problems please let me know" to be met with absolute silence. It is a two edged sword, believe me. I also remember this being a major complaint in The Forest back in it's heyday so it isn't just an FN thing.

All I can say is we are improving and apologise for past problems and hope the next time you visit your experience is better. Lets also hope the furry area you run, Serenity Woods, doesn't experience the explosive growth Furnation did being understaffed and over griefed with the lousy estate tools available at the time.

Actually, no. It may be many things, but "costume" it isn't. Dressing up in costumes is a very tiny part of furrydom that the media has blown all out of proportion.

I've never had a problem with the furnation sims. It takes a while to be welcomed, but it does happen, and that's pretty much the case with all "themed" sims, I think.

I've never had a problem with the furnation sims, if anything I was the one causing problems. Just my 2L.

It IS just make believe though. I wish furries would stop taking themselves so seriously.

FurNation staff DOES NOT discriminate based on gender, what we DO however have a problem with, is rude behavior, and racist attitudes, both of which you displayed, we don't act until we receive complaints from the community, Inferniel had EVERY right to remove you.

Furthermore, your vague legal threatenings to be let back in? What a joke, when I IMed you, all you told me was "I'm not talking to you anymore".

On top of that, running around furnation dropping signs on people's lots that say "FurNation sucks! Don't rent land!" are not only idiotic, but extremely childish.

just to clear up a bit...i personally banned the originator of this post on Saturday, July 8 for using fowl and highly disrespectful language, harrassment, insulting behavior, and threats against furnation's owner and myself of legal action.

so ask yourselves before you jump on the band-wagon....does the originator have a "CASE" or was their "BAD EXPERIENCE" warranted...

The lindens may not always do everything you want them to do. But they cannot please everyone...they can only please a few at a time. So be kind to them. Most are just doing thier jobs.
