The purpose seems to be to further sully the name "Neualtenburg," with porno references.

The Neualtenburg forums at http://forums.neualtenburg.info/index.php recently had someone create a bunch of alt accounts with links to porno sites. We deleted the accounts but presumably if they had been able to post messages they would have flooded the board with porno.

Kind of confusing though, I am not sure which "side" this person would be on.

Are they saying, "Give me the name back or I will make it so undesirable you won't want it?" or are they saying, "If you don't stop asking us for the name back we will make it so undesirable that you won't want it." ??



A tad on the childish side either way.

It's all kind of moot because Neualtenburg is having a referendum on our name soon anyway. I can't say it's a "for sure" thing that we will change it, because it's up to the citizens to decide one way or the other, but it would kinda surprise me if people did want to keep it. For that reason I don't know why anyone would want to drag it any further through the mud. Kinda pointless.

My understanding is that porn is prohibited in the Democratic Republic of Neualtenburg (the City). Port Neualtenburg may allow it, but you'll want to contact Kendra Bancroft to ask.

Well i am obviously not acquainted with 'Neualtenburg' nor did I know what it was a reference to. And as for it being a SL State disallowing pornography, I now no longer want anything to do with it.

Any and all names are possible including "Neualtenburg."

Each citizen is asked to submit two choices for consideration (in secret) and then a list of the submissions will be voted on by the citizens as a whole.

We are trying to chose both a sim name and an "over-arching" or project type name.

A classic example of democracy in action and fun too.

For the record...

Pornography, sex (and many other things loved by neurotics) are neither against the law nor disallowed in Neualtenburg.

There is a local law only against public displays of pornography.

So you can keep dirty magazines in your home just like almost anywhere but you can't display porno advertising on the side of your house or in the forums.

In fact I just spent half the afternoon with a Langenscheidt dictionary trying to find out among other things what "funkytown" might be in German. No dice.

"funk" in the dictionary refers to the other kind of funk, and the closest I got was:

"Mordangstburg" (morbid anxiety town)

or

"Angsthabbenstadt" (angst ridden city)

According to this poll, the public seems to favor Machiavellichusetts. Given the recent upset over the restricted speech in your forum, perhaps it's not such a bad choice.
