He's reporting to his readers, this place doesn't have an "Products LL Broke" section.
Can we go ahead and just close the forums down?

Oh I thought it was the reality distortion effect winding down while I woke up.

Agrees... there should be a customer support forum.

So far the Lindens and mods have been putting customer support anouncements like these is Notices and Well Wishes, which is where I'll move this for now. I'll be sure to bring up the idea of a "customer support" forum though, and I also encourage you guys to post about it in Feature suggestions!

We wouldn't need a customer support forum if we could reply to classifieds.

Out of interest, what is the problem with these publications now? What part of the update broke them?

Toneless is currently at work but you can find any answers to what broke the Thinc books in this thread. I know that he is trying his best to help his customers. Please let us know if you need anything.

Sing along with me:

Notices and Well-Wishes
Notices and Well-Wishes
Go together like
Hospices and Tarnishes

This I tell you comrade
You can't have one without the other....

I applaud the resmod's choice, it is pure-bred nonsense.

Yours truly,

Troy

Players Magazine is OK!
04-04-2006 11:59
You will be happy to learn that Players Magazines' Issue 11 is in fine shape and can be read with no problems.

This is due to the use by Players Magazine of that marvelous new technology that allows readers to view the contents direct from their inventories without having to set anything out, or invoke some script. Also, you can pick and choose what part of the magazine you wish to view without having to flip through pages.

Hopefully other magazines will get with the times and upgrade, avoiding these problems.

Marilyn I have to question your form about commenting about my publication system at a time of distress. The THiNC Publication system does not rely on a outside or in world servers to maintain content. It was designed to last even if the content creator decides to quit SL completely. This means the info will continue to shown even at a later date. Also it’s much more than just getting the info across, if that was the case just use a webpage or a notecard. It was also designed as an immersive experience, an actual book in SL that has turning pages and sounds. This not a mere simple script, literally thousands of lines of code went into this. I consider this my flagship product.

You and everyone must understand even with hindsight I couldn't do much to prevent this problem. Encryption is a big deal and I believe that people's content should be preserve. The fault happened because of a sudden change in the scripting code in Encryption that wasn't relayed to the residents of SL. It was not faulty coding or design in my part. Like I said in other post related, even though the fault runs upon the Lindens my customers’ and my name can be tarnished too.
