The Parking Lot is gone.

Yers, The Parking Lot, a skatepark/shopping area which has been around for over a year, is gone. "Why?" you ask? I'll tell you why. LL reclaimed the land, pretty much without warning. They claim to have sent an email to me, as the founder of the group that owned the land. I don't really doubt that they did send it, but I never recieved this email. It's not their fault that I never recieved the email if they sent it, I realize that. However, a little consideration could have prevented this. I just don't undstand why they couldn't have ensured that we all knew before deletion. I am online a large [sad] amount of time everyday. A certain Linden says she has checked the land every day to see if the problem of the group owning too much land had been fixed since sending the email. Why could she not IM me and ask why I had not fixed the problem, I don't know what to do--oh screw it, I'm tired. Pretend I finished my rant, k? Kthxbye.

Yah, it's kinda weird they don't try to reach you in world.
Can you expand what that means? What does a group owning too much land mean? Or does it mean tier was out of whack?

Group owning too much land -

Members of the group donate tier to it. The group buys land. A member leaves the group, taking the tier with them. Then the group owns more land the amount of tier donated. Yada, yada, yada... I noticed it two weeks ago, AND fixed it. So...-shrug-

As a side note, the Linden who I found on the land and talked to could have handled the situation a bit better, in my opinion.

Linden: see if you can straighten it out and I will see about getting your land back
You: it doesnt matter...
You: I cant set that all up again

LLinden: and make sure you have current e-mail on the website

Dang, that sucks.. I thought the parking lot was cool.

Don't forget you are only out of about 200,000 accounts. ((dunno how many active ones)). It is a lot to expect that they check more than once on a problem like this.

But they DID check, the Linden says she checked it everyday since May 13th, she had to have seen me online.

I just can't deal with the "okies I will see ya later" part *gaspgaspchoke*

I had a shop there and I loved that spot. I was with Tripper when all the stuff got returned to our Lost And Found folder and it killed it.

I really think this was handled very poorly by LL, 234987347982684732 accounts or not.

I hope this can be somewhat fixed, especially when you know Tripper PAID for that land already.... It's like a contract, virtual or not, it has to be honored since money was spent.
But then again I don't know TOS by heart.

Either way that SUCKS hard time, so sorry Tripper.
That's hours and months and all, poof, gone in the twilight zone, and not due to some bug, due to someone clicking the evil "RETURN OBJECTS" button *cries and dies*.
At least you have more then one trick in your pockets, and some of us know what's next *wink* But it still hurts a lot, yeah.

Aww damn this so sucks I totally loved having the spot at the Parking Lot! Totally unfair about what the Lindens did. Plus that whole "okay i'll talk to you laterz" part thats a bunch of bunk right there. This is ridiculous! Tripper I'm sorry that this had to happen hun. <3

Well, I got a response to my email to support, it was rather useless and stated the obvious. So, I'm going to call them and see if I can get the land back. But I don't know if I'll rebuild The Parking Lot, at this point.

I've visited the spot a few times tripper. I'd like to offer my help, free of charge on rebuilding the area. I am willing to take your plans. Rebuild things to whatever you'd like. And i'll just set everything i build up for sale for 0L with full mod and ownership to you as if you've built it. Sooooo sorry this happened...

I know that if you do get the land back, I am totally willing to help remake/even redo the entire parking lot. I mean the place was an awesome hang out spot! and I'm totally betting that everyone else who had a vendor or store there would be willing to help redo it too. Hopefully everything will work out and you get the land back hun.
