This is an apology to my friends and supporters of numbakulla, who were expecting me to be back in world full time after the end of July. Unfortunately my son's surgery was not straightforward and he was in Great Ormond Street Hospital for most of August. He had the worst luck...he had peritonitis after the first surgery and had to have emergency surgery after that, had an infection left over from the peritonitis and found himself back in hospital again after ten days, and then had an obstruction in all likelihood caused by the infection, which took 8 days to resolve.

We're home and hoping to stay there for some time to come. Without any access to a computer for more than a month out of the last six weeks, I felt very isolated. The sooner internet access become the norm for hospital and other institutions in the UK the better

.

Anyway, I am back, although not likely to be able to devote quite as much time for some weeks to come to SL, I am hoping to catch up on all the stuff which should have been done before.

I'm glad things are improving for your son and that you are back in SL - I've been wondering how things were. It sounds like your son had a terrible ordeal - I hope things go well from now on.

That sounds rough!

Anyway, I am glad he is improving, and I hope he is soon in good health. Then it will be time for you to collapse and sleep for a week. After that we might see you regularly back in sl again.

I'm sorry things have been so rough for both of you, and hope that life becomes uneventful now for a while.
