**This is not a Roleplaying opportunity**

I'm looking to find a team of women who are interested in starting a home/secondlife based business. Make your own hours, be your own boss! Are you a social person who likes to play secondlife to meet new people and make new friends? A woman looking to make a few extra RL dollars a month - or even start a new career with unlimited earning potential. If your over 18, from the U.S and would like more information on what I'd like to accomplish in SL , and how you could get involved ... Please send me a PM so we can set up a time to talk !

Looking forward to meeting you !

Hmm, do I get a free pink Dominus Shadow if I sell more than L$100k worth of cosmetics and whatever else you stepford salespeople try to foist off on women who have poor body image and low self esteem?

If so, SIGN ME UP!! :D

Some how I find it ironic that someone with the last name Stepford would want a 'REAL' woman. :p

A friend of mine introduced me to SL. I was very excited to see all the endless possibilities SL offers. I'm a stay at home mom, mother of two and yes I do sell MK to be able to continue to be a stay at home mom. I've been selling for a little while now and I really enjoy it.

When SL was introduced to me I thought , why couldnt I sell in both worlds? Maybe meet other woman who would enjoy doing the same thing I do. I'd like to build a store, products in store would link customers to my website. Maybe hold skin care parties where women could ask questions , or we could use the website to do virtual make-overs. I'd eventually like to learn how to make SL skins , have sort of a one stop shop for Av's and the real women behind the keyboard.

Now I DO realize that many people wouldn't be interested in my idea. The friend that introduced me to SL suggested I not post on the forums about my idea. That I would either be ignored but most likley flamed, and she was afraid it would discourage me. What I think is great about SL is there is room for people of all different backgrounds and interested. Everyone has an opportunity to find their own nitch, something they enjoy or are good at doing. Maybe my idea will bomb, maybe women while online - aren't interested in thinking about RL products/appearances etc. I do plan on having fun trying tho, and if it fails - hopefully I will find something else to accomplish instead.

- lol , yes I really hadn't thought about my lastname. Probably not the best choice , but I will live with it lol.

To the other comments, thank you for taking the time to read my post - and for your open minded opinions. I look forward to starting my Secondlife, and appreciate any serious advice anyone could provide.

Thanks - MKS

MaryKay, Welcome to SL. Just ignore the flamers. Every neighborhood has little dogs that stand in the yard and do nothing but bark.

I do not use MK products, most of my cosmetics come from Dillard’s or CVS, but I wish you well in your venture. I know a lot of women here are SAHMs and they just may be interested.

Good luck,

Jen

oohhhhh, my goodness :) <<<blushes embarrassed;)>>>

dear, pardon our extreme snarkiness... a first-posting like that, well, usually is quite an indicator of someone too young to be on-grid. while well-written first messages are a rarity... well, it can happen.

any case, as another interested in sales and business (albeit in my own individualistically bizarre way;) - i apologize. (but i bet you -are- protestant dear, lol;) or at least attend one.)

welcome to the grid!! and best of luck with your warez. :)

Welcome to second life.

I would offer one bit of advice to you, take the time to get to know second life as a place to enjoy yourself and make new friends. If you appreciate all SL has to offer and decide to do your MK thing, not only will you probably do better, but you'll be having fun while your here.

If you are here simply to run a business, you'll miss out on quite a lot, and probably not enjoy yourself enough to stay around.

Those have been my observations since I joined, but I'm still relatively new here, and of course, I'm sure there are exceptions.
