Just got this mail recently, for those of you who do not already own Poser.
Content Paradise is giving away their older version of Poser5.

Just to register with their site, I think they are competing with Daz's recent free givaway of
bryce 5.0.
Different products, but site and product exposure competition.

For new content creators this will allow you to make your own anims and poses, as well as
textures.
It prob also qualifies as a stepping stone to a less expensive upgrade to Poser 6, which is already out.

For more experienced 3d content creators it makes it much easier to make clothes, hair
poses, anims etc. for the outside poser market.

Thank you so much for posting this link! My download has been delayed because of so many people downloading, but the best thing is that although the site requires registration, you don't have to provide any billing information - excellent!!

I was thinking about trying my hand at animations. Is Poser the best one to go with? I heard someone say it's not the best to start with because it's overly complicated.

Nuh uh! If you got the message that they've hit the download limit, keep reading. It says that the download will be available indefinitely in the "My Stuff" link.

I just went thru the signup process, and successfully checked out. It appears they are indeed honoring requests before the deadline, there just may be a delay in getting the actual download because their servers are getting slammed.

I found Poser to be overly complicated aswell, but that can be said for anything you haven't spent time on

. Right now I'm using AvMotion and Slat but if you spent some time with Poser, it's definitly better

no Download?

I dont know why, but it wont seem to let me download it. It just kicks me back to the main page. Any suggestions? I cant even get to my checkout, or even to my shopping cart. I am so confused!

Actually.....

It wont let me add it to my shopping cart and it wont let me do anything with it. How odd.

They have extended this offer to 8 September, but you will probably still have to wait to download it. Every time I try, I end up on a page that says "Download Limit Reached". But, on the positive side, it does say that the download will be available indefinitely. So, you can still "buy" it for free, and download it..... sometime
