WTF i need to know if my credit cars info is gunna be used because of the breach and also i have a bunch of friends on my list i dont know and i cant answer the question to get my password reset.. this is bullshit.. where do i go to talk to a linden or W/e..?!

The database that was accessed did contain encrypted payment info, specifically credit card data and Paypal links. The Lindens cannot, or at least have not yet been able to, specify exactly which data were retrieved from the hacked server. Thus, the prudent person will assume that the hacker has the encrypted information. Obviously, nobody can tell if the crooks will use the data for anything. I think it's important to consider that whatever a computer can encrypt, another computer can likely decrypt, given enough time and processing power. I don't trust that the encrypted information is secure in a criminal's hands and have invalidated my card and requested a new one. Whether you should is up to you, of course.

Dont care what Linden Labs say , if a hacker got encripted data they can unenciprt it and use it, i say Call your banks and CC carriers and let them know asap about this breech that ll had, i did all mine , only Monday will tell the full extent of this mess and if RL things have happened to people, and as far as knowing you have your security question right and still cant reset your password, 9times outta thats cuz your acct was hijacked and somehow the hijaker figured out how to chage your question and or answer, i was on the phone with LL friday i thnk it was firday for over 5 hrs on this very issue, seemed like shortly after that phone call with them they madeit so EVERYONE had ot chage their password, its only a phone call i strongly urge you to call your bank and cc caries and give them a heads up , my virtual acct was hijacked and alot of my items deleted and can LL get back for me NO , i am told once inventory is deletd that there is no way to get back, to contact makers and see if they will replace YEAH RIGHT like i remember every little thing i had in my inventory, but i do know all my high priced skins from CMFF and makeup packs are gone and varius other items and ill never see again, so if a hacker can do this to a virtual acct just imagine what they can do t a rl account
