Well, what I'm about to say may shock and surprise some of you. I'm leaving SL for now. No, thats not the surprising part. The surprising part is, I'm not going out in some big negative tyrade and I'm not blaming 1.7 for my (perhaps temporary) departure. The fact is, I'm just bored. I don't intend this to be insulting to SL, or to anyone with different tastes/interests than myself, I just personally am not finding SL very interesting. I don't play casino games in real life, and I don't find them any more interesting in a virtual one. I don't find avatar sex clubs terribly appealing, I'm just not into low quality pixel porn. The social aspect of it is nice and all, but I find it somewhat more rewarding to spend time on my RL social life. Again, I don't mean to sound demeaning to anyone who DOES enjoy any of these things, just not my cup of green tea. I'm just going to take some time away from SL and redirect it toward my actual tangible goals (college, art, music, life, etc.) Perhaps I'll return eventually with renewed interest and enthusiasm. Until then...
Sayonara, Kaz

Good luck. Just don't make the mistake I did: I actually closed my accounts. When I came back, a year later, I had to re-build everything in my inventory. Go basic and make sure to log in and say Hi once in a while.

Safe Journeys and Grand Adventures... we'll be here when you come home. In the meantime, just for the sake of completeness... "Can I have your stuff? I've always wanted to say that...

It happens. I went through a bored-with-it cycle for a month or two in high summer. Maybe RL was too nice with the lovely weather, but I don't really think that was it.
But to my surprise, my interest grew again. You may find the same. Hope so.
Enjoy whatever anyway.
I expect you will be back..........

We'll miss ya at the Shelter, Kaz. Good luck with school - and hope your interest in SL will respark in the future

Morning Kaz,
Definately understand where you're coming from. Imagine what the difference is like for someone like myself, who got to see such things unfold firsthand.
I'm currently in the same condition, spending more time in Until Uru than SL at the moment, and looking into 'other options.' In part its also dealing with some RL followups, which the UU communities I deal with are more tight-knit and helping than SL is currently.
