Well.. we close on our first house next tuesday. Been in an apt since I left home at 18 and I'm going to be 34 in Sept.. so I'm *super* excited!!!
 Alas, I have to pack, cancel services in a few days, little one coming home, laundry, dishes, and dinner on the table around 6pm.. haha.. plus work. So.... I'm doing my official gone for a couple of weeks thread. Going to miss you all, and hope you will all be good and don't do anything I would do.  And a side note.. don't be thin.. be THICK with your opinions. You all are wonderful and I cannot wait to get back to you!! *HUGS* *And SMOOCHIES to those who take them* _____________________

I don't envy you the task of moving, Pen; I hate that. But, it is very exciting about buying a house, congrats!
 Here's my best packing tip: Pack dishes and other fragile items wrapped in off-season clothes and surplus towels to cut down on packing materials (and box space) needed. _____________________

Nothing is quite as satisfying as moving into UR very first 'bank owned' home.
4 yrs ago for us, and I still love stepping out into my yard and knowing it's MINE all MINE! As oppossed to that 6ft by 6ft slab of cement I could lovingly call my own at our last apt. But seriously, congrats to U and URs. |

Thank you everyone for the wishes!! We moved in this past Tuesday to MY NEW HOME and FIRST EVER OWNING OF A HOME!! WOOHOO!!!
I SO love it!!! No internet at home till after Monday (I'm sneaking on at work). Hope you all are doing well. Really miss all of you!! Happy Birthday and Birthaversaries to all who I've missed the past couple of weeks!!! *HUGS* _____________________

As it turns out, it is probably going to be friday before I have internet at home. *cry*!  Stupid rescheduling. grr!! I'm jonesing to get in world and missing everyone badly! So I'm stuck being able to only check the forums at work, and since I'm swamped here, I can't check and post like I want to. The new term also just started up in Neualtenburg, so when I am in the forums, I'm mostly likely hanging out there. Ok. Just got off the phone with the hubby. He installed the cable modem last night, but still needs to contact the people to turn it on. Here is hoping it is turned on tonight!! If you all don't hear from me till Monday (well, after 1:30pm est today), you will know we didn't get it up and running.
