I know nothing about the decision of the owners of Telador, but Uru Live is about to go into closed beta again, since Cyan have done a deal with an online games company.
I am assuming that the people who took refuge in SL may be considering moving back if they are accepted for the closed beta. I am told by one of the people who has been involved in Until Uru (the player-run refuge for Uru people), that acceptance is on a first come, first served basis, and I am also assuming that the people who have remained active in Until Uru will have known to sign up quickly.
It seems an awful shame to allow something which incorporates such a lot of work in it to go. Surprised that Cyan hasn't rushed in to use it for advertising the real McCoy.

I'd second that Caliandris, Telador is what rekindled my Myst addiction and has been an inspiration to many. I for one will really miss it. |
