Sorry Cali vanished without warning

I wanted to post and say how sorry I am to have disappeared without warning a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately, my son, who was ill earlier in the year, fell ill very suddenly during the night, and had to be rushed to hospital. I have been at the hospitals with him over the past couple of weeks. We started out in St Mary's, and were transferred after a few days to Great Ormond Street Hospital.

I know you will be glad to know that he is now home with me, although he has to return in 8 weeks time for an operation, and in the meantime is condemned to drink vile liquid diet drinks.

I so badly wanted to let people know where I was and what was happening - and to use the internet for research into the drugs and treatments which he was given - but even the large teaching hospitals in London still do not have any access to the internet for ordinary patients and their parents, and I was unable to leave his side in order to seek out an internet cafe etc. Children at Great Ormond Street are able to use the internet for three quarters of an hour every morning, if fit enough to reach the school which is run inside the hospital.

I am back now, and hoping to catch up with everything. Greetings to all who missed me, I have missed you too!

So sorry about your son Caliandris! But glad to hear he is home with you for now at least. Will be keeping him and you in my thoughts!! *hugs*
