I'm really wondering why it has to be down 5 hours for an update... I have absolutely no experience whatsoever with these kinds of large deployments, but you'd think it was all automated and testing wouldn't be necessary because they have a preview grid.
I'm just curious what exactly takes 5 hours in that process.
I take they know what they're doing, but I it's still kind of annoying. 7-12 PDT is 16-21 CET, which is where I live.
