Virtual Real Estate Boom Draws Real DollarsThat article on Slashdot.org was my introduction to the world of SL (rez day 6/4/2004). I want to extend a happy two year anniversary to all the folks drawn in by that article as well as the stories on CNN and USA Today on the first week of June, 2004. There is/was a site that listed the # of signups per day and, if I recall correctly, we got a lot of signups that week. I am off for about a week to get my spine fused, so I won't be here on the 4th, but I didn't want to let this go by. Thanks to all the people that make SL an awesome place to be and especially to Kim Manilow (6/8/2004), who gladly followed me here.

While I wasn't drawn in by that article, I arrived not long after you, after having spent months and months on dialup peeking in the SL window without trying to enter. I hope your surgery goes very well - all the best, from Os

Now that I am back home with some new hardware installed (some really bitchin' screws and rods!), I want to wish a proper happy rez day to Kim Manilow. And thank you for the kind words, Osprey - Hurts like hell, but it will get better.
