Larsen Shops is closing

Larsen Shops is closing at the end of April. Thank you for your patronage and support of the project. Enjoy it while it lasts. In one week this awesome build will vanish into the depths of Barnesworth's prolific inventory.

aww, I'm sorry to hear this. I have been a regular customer and have brought friends with me to your shopping center. And yes, it is an awesome build. I love the immersive quality of the center, plus the fact that several of my favorite designers set up shop there.

Indeed, that place was somewhere very realistic in SL, too bad its closing down.

i guess i should explain. we learned a lot doing larsen shops and came to realize that there was some circumstances that inherently predisposed the project to hit a wall.

1> main grid land tools
2> no control over neighbouring aesthetics, build lag, light polution.
3> limits to expansion

to name some.

while we were having success building awareness and traffic, it did not seem sensible to conitnue building a project that had many obstacles in its path. instead we would rather rebuild a project that incorporates the lessons we've learned.

suffice to say,

Sorry to see Larsen meet an untimely end. I enjoyed getting TPd there by Barnes to see the project's successive stages (including the graffiti!). Those shops are definitely in a class of their own.

Sad!.. I liked the style and class - (and the advertising to) and asked to rent a small part/place for and EXAKT STORE - But was told it was 120 waiting for a store..

OMGzzz, they had such a cow when we plastered our ubiquitous gay-mafia graffiti on Cris' store. Glad someone appreciated the levity.

the real gay mafia would have had a more refined graffiti. technically exquisite with a touch of sass.
