Things are out of control

Greetings

First off, forgive my sometimes aggressive language but I'm on the very edge of my nerves seeing what's been happening recently.

Now, here's my issues:
1. No verification of RL data upon creating an SL account
Who thought it up? I'd give them the "Worst Idea of The Millenium" award! And you know how this award would look like? A super-mega-push gun right in their face from an alt account. Why? Because there is NO way you can control ANYTHING now. I won't even mention kids entering SL. Troublemakers are now celebrating a new paradise! Now anyone who wants to wreak havoc can create a 100 accounts and you'll never ban them all because for every banned account he will create 10 new ones!
I spent two hours yesterday in a sandbox (I don't do that normally, I have my own land). I saw people building peacefully, some really great things there... and during these two hours I saw major shootouts at least 10 times! Hell, a guy with a cigar in his mouth flew over and caged everyone in sight 4 times. He was using the freebie cage gun, availble to anyone so if you'd ban him he would create another account (I think the number in his name was the number of account), grab the gun and the "fun" begins again.
And now the key point - I overheard a conversation between a person who has been on SL for quite a while with a "young" (in SL terms, account 2 days old) person. The newbie was asking if it's always this way, sadly the pro had to say it is. The newbie said that there's no point in playing and logged off. I came back today and tried to do a search for the newbie... no such account. Way to go Linden Labs! At this rate you'll have _only_ troublemakers on the grid in a matter of weeks... if not days.
So, what are you going to do about it?

2. Banning? Suspension? Warning?
Guys, you must be kidding me! I reported a couple people _repeatedly_, over and over again... and they are still here, not a word in the blotter about them getting even a warning! Is the "report abuse" option there just for cool looks?
Yesterday when I was in a sandbox (as in my previous point) I tried flying around with my bike... it was impossible. Someone was using a "distruptor" weapon - one that repels any physical object... all over the sandbox! And I had _no_ way of getting this to stop. Will you please do something about it?

3. Final word
Now, I know my voice won't be heard and that I'm shouting against a brick wall (since this isn't the first time I'm trying to point out some of your slip-ups) but I just had to relieve my nerves. Shouting at people in world isn't fair, they didn't do anything (save for the guy who just put a huge plywood cube in one of my buildings, blocking any access... reported and I don't expect any result).
But if there is even one Linden out there who thinks about the good of residents - please, for the sake of everything that is good, do something to take the control back!

Because - as my topic stated - things are out of control

Greetings Raavi. Your post echoes a number of other ones which've appeared in SL Answers and the discussion areas of the forums recently. I'd recommend looking for them so you know you're not alone. To address the repeated questions which've come up about more control, please have a look at the Community Team's Be the Change blog:

http://secondlife.blogs.com/change/

and speaking of more control, in case you didn't know yet, ban height for parcels is increased to 200 m tomorrow--after years of no change. I'd say that's a drastic change.

I don't know what you tried re: abuse, but if the abuse persisted and didn't stop, please ask on HELP > LIVE HELP for a Linden Liaison to witness the continued griefing at hand. I also hope you filled out your abuse report with sufficient details, giving further info into what happened. We unfortunately get abuse reports saying things like "he shot me" which aren't of much help. :(

I have seen many posts like this in my time in Second Life. It hasn't jaded me, but made me aware of patterns that arise. Like emotions, they come and go.

I hope things will get better for you and that you'll feel happier soon. :)
