dont close the forums!!!
Regardless of what you say is the intent of LL regarding the blogs, as posts are removed and delayed in being posted the message is that LL wants to have the ability to silence certain people.
When asked earlier about criteria for moderation of blog posts you posted a quote. discussion of that quote took place here.

I don't see one happy person in that thread.
Wouldn't it be better to take a forum moderation attitude toward blog moderation? The whole "if I don't like it it will be deleted"
Why is LL saying one thing, "we care about what you have to say and the blog will improve communication" while the oposite is actually the case "if we don't like your post it won't be posted, if you piss us off you won't have any more posts posted, we don't want to hear from you, we just want to tell you how it is" That's what's coming across anyway.
A while back when the New product forums were set to be closed in favor of in-world classifieds, the people spoke out against it and LL listened and left them up. Why won't LL listen when the outcry against these forums being closed has been so much more vocal?
Please reconsider the closing of the forums!

Remember all the people who are yelling in the forums. They only constitute a miniscule representation of the population of SL. Find other means to reach the majority, not the minority. |

You've all been heard.
There's a lot of feedback I've also received outside of the forums themselves, so I take everyone's reasonable voice within consideration. I don't wish to repeat things I've said numerous times before here--I would however like to communicate further, and more updates re: the forums and Second Life community updates in general will be posted as "CommUpdates" on the Official Linden Blog.
