I noticed that in a recent upgrade, clicking for an Edit screen on objects not owned by me results in blanked out information. This has, surprisingly, impacted my purchasing experience negatively.
I use the edit information on objects I don't own mainly to see how many prims a product is. This is often my primary decisionmaking point when shopping, as, like many, I have limited prims in my builds. However, with this change, it is impossible for me to tell how many prims a product is, which means I simply can't buy items for my builds with any confidence that I can actually use them. At all. I've already wasted money buying something that looked great but was far too many prims for me to even use.
I hope Linden Labs will consider re-adding at least this information to objects in some way, as it's an important criteria in purchasing that is now denied.

Pym, a reason why some of the info is now hidden is because of concerns such as texture-copying (those little swatches that used to be shown even if an object was no-mod) and other duplication of parameters. Prim count, however, is... a helpful number, I agree. I can't see a good reason for it to be blocked. Are there any other parameters which you think would be beneficial to still display? Email me to confirm, torley@lindenlab.com and I promise to check it out and let the developers know.

[UPDATE] I personally checked objects owned by owners and it still shows the "X Object, Y Primitives" count for me. Can you please email me with a specific repro I could look at? Greatly appreciated.
