I know your Asset Server must have a monster database to maintain. Also many residents have huge or even monster sized inventories. I have over 4000 items in mine. I can spend several minutes looking for a particular item. (Especially when it is something I know I have but have forgotten its name to be able to use the search.) I suspect lots of it can be just deleted. If only I had a way of exporting the inventory list to a text file I could print it out and see what I can get rid of. I'm sure there are many other Residents that would also like to do the same. If everyone had better inventory maintenance tools it should reduce the size of that monster database the asset server is handling.
Perhaps there is already a method of exporting the inventory list. If so I have not found it.
Thank you for your time.

Hi Allen! 4000 items is actually a good size. You can't currently export your inventory but that does sound appealing--some enhancements were added to the Inventory in the way of having an "inbox" and better filtering, and it's likely there'll be more to come. I agree inventory sorting can be such a chore, and the tricky thing is for those with many items named "Object" they're not sure of, or other weird names that need to be rezzed so someone can go, "O, I don't need that! I'll delete it." Sort of related, on a tangent: http://secondlife.com/vote/vote.php?get_id=698http://secondlife.com/vote/vote.php?get_id=673
