This is the question I'd like to have answered: With ID verification gone, how is LL keeping the under-18s out of the adult grid?

If the answer is a simple, "Open registration is technically not keeping minors out, but we're weeding them out after they've gained entry." then let me just say that LL has broken, in a gravely serious way that could have devastating real-world consequences, its own policy and user agreement with its adult customers. LL has put itself and all adult users of SL in peril of lawsuits filed by parents whose children have access to adult material on the adult grid.

Total removal of user accountability has been the SINGLE most irresponsible and flagrantly careless change LL has ever made to SL and it's flat-out unacceptable.

I feel so incredibly disappointed and betrayed and, as a legit paying adult customer, totally non-valued.
