Noon/Midnight Economic Data Generation Screwup?

I think it's a bit weird that the daily economic statistics are generated at noon PST and not midnight PST. I suspect that this has been done in error. Though I suppose it doesn't really matter, I don't really want to be thinking about the midnight rollover as the same as that in Abu Dhabi (GMT+4); my watch only does two time zones.

Hi Strife.

The stats actually reflect data as of midnight the previous day.

For example: today the page says "Last Updated: Monday, May 15, 2006" -- so the stats given today reflect data as of midnight Sunday. I will add a note to the page, to make this more clear.

Unfortuneately, we usually can't update the stats until after 10:00 or 11:00 AM, Pacific time, sometimes later. This is because it takes until around then to load the previous day's data into the data warehouse.
