Kelly Linden replied to anoter user (Zi Ree): From: someone If you havn't started a gesture - if you release the right mouse button while still in the center - then you can click again anywhere outside the pie menu, or in its center, to close the pie menu. There is still a problem in this. If you click on something too close to the edge of the screen, the pie menu that shows up is offset to fit on the screen. This often places your cursor on one of the pie menu selections, selecting something unintentionally. The only 'escape' possible now is to keep the mouse button down, and carefully put it in the center of the new pie menu before releasing it. PLEASE give us an option to TURN OFF this 'Gestural pie menu' feature. I don't find it at all useful, and in fact find it quite a hazzard to my normal use of the UI. The next time it forces me to select a pie menu choice because I wasn't paranoid about when and where to release my mouse button, I will submit a bug report on this so-called feature.

We're going to continue to examine what these new UI bits do to usability, Ceera. I will check out the particular issue you mention.
I am finding the gestural pie menu usage is difficult to describe in words, and I've become quite an adept "chainer" to go from one command to the next--any videos are helpful!

[UPDATE] I checked this and the cursor gets offset accordingly to be centered on the pie menu. If you have a repro for where the pie menu gets moved but the cursor doesn't, please let me know (torley@lindenlab.com) so I've got it in my queue.
