There used to be a stated policy that disciplinary measures such as suspensions and permanent bans given in response to forum misconduct would apply inworld as well.

Since there seems to be at least one person recently permanently banned from the forums who has not been banned inworld, it occurs to me to ask: "Has this policy been abandoned?".

Also there appears now to be a special status regarding forum suspension given to the Resident Answers forum, from which it appears one can be banned without being banned from other forums.

Since the content creation forums are places primarily used for the same thing the Resident Answers forum are used for, to ask questions about Second Life of other users, what is the reason for according such special status to the Resident Answers forum?

Glad you asked, Sue. A couple reasons:
(1) Resident Answers is experimental and new and malleable to change, and thus is a bit of a novelty due to the birth of its creation; to provide a comfortable atmosphere for Residents, including new ones. So is it treated more like a baby? Yes.

(2) RA doesn't dupe the Content Creation forums, but rather, provides a specific space for miscellaneous newcomer questions, such as "How do I make L$?" which really don't go elsewhere. Potpourri.
An update on Resident Answers will likely come on the blog next week, to see how it's grown.
