Group Renaming

Hello, I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but...is there any way to rename a group? We have a couple of groups that should be renamed, to make a former member of the group happy...if there's a technical reason why it can't be done, hopefully she'll understand, but I'd like to at least tell her I made an effort...

I am so sorry, Erbo, no, general policy is we can't rename groups.

It's not so much a technical matter--that's actually simple, but the volume, because you can imagine we'd be deluged with requests--atop all the other incoming requests we get for so many things. "Once the floodgates open..."

Closest thing to do would be to create a new group with the desired name, but that's clunky in some situations like if there's group land, I know.

You certainly did your best.
