Second Life Podcast Videos

This is just a suggestion for which-ever Linden maintain's the official Second Life podcast feed. It would be best if you encoded the video in an iPod compatible, progressivily downloadable format.

Currently, the videos in the feed are very large (dimensionally) and are not hinted for streaming. Re-encoding the videos for playback on iPods would put them in a format (320x240, MPEG-4 or H.264, etc) that will also allow them to be progressivly downloaded and played back in real time on Second Life parcels.

Feel free to contact me in world if you need some assistance. I'd like to add the official podcast feed to my Podcast Player object but as it is, the video's in the feed won't elegantly play back in world.

Thanks Harris for the good suggestions. We will investigate ways to optimize the clips per your request. It may be that MPEG-4 or H.264 is the way to go, we'll keep you posted!
