"Land Shark" Store Auctions are nothing more than a "Playground for Land Sharks"

I am very disappointed in your "Land Store"! I had a nice spot picked out and some idiot comes along and outbids me. I get no email about it either. Any good auction system will at least send and email when you are outbid. Why doesn't yours?

Why is it that you do not allow people to just buy their reservation for L$30?

This new auction system only gives the land sharks another playground and the land barons a new office to work in.

Not to mention those who harrass people using this system. We have no way of knowing whether or not someone is using alt accounts to bid against us or not. If I pick out another spot and someone ELSE outbids me, how do I know it's not the alt of the person who outbid me the first time or an alt of a person who is harassing me in-world too. And so on and so forth...

So it's kind of hard to bring it to your attention when we don't know who is an alt. If we do not bring it to your attentioon, then you will not take any action against a harrassing resident. So how LL is this new auction system fair for anyone except the land sharks and land barons?

It's bad enough that we have to deal with these individuals in-world without any assistance or support from you (LL), but now we have to deal with them in the Land Store too? We should definitley be able to bypass the "Land Shark Store Auctions" and just buy our reservation.

I'm extremely upset, disappointed, amd frusturated.

We tested the email notifications here in the office and all seems to be well. You might check to see if email from Second Life Support is getting sent to a SPAM folder. Please let us know if this problem persists so we can debug further.

As far as our reason for allowing auctions: As the grid continues to grow people are choosing grid spaces they consider currently valuable. Similarly, areas that were once barren are becoming valuable making the spaces around them more valuable. It seemed most fair to allow people to determine the value on the auction block. We realize that there might be some unscrupulous folks out there that are using the land store as a way to intimidate or grief. If you have evidence that this is occurring please contact our support staff. We will address it immediately.
