Maintenance Schedule Question

Hello, I could not seem to find this on the website. Quite possible that it is there, I am like that sometimes :)

My question is does LL use a calendar schedule for maintenance (i.e one that is visible and somewhat predictable for the users) or is it mostly 'we have something ready now for production so let's go live with it'.

As a user I totally understand the need to stablize and improve the SL experience, especially considering the growth and scaling issues. But I would hate to schedule a demo with an outside customer or hold an event only to have it cancelled because of an arbitrarily scheduled update.

But I probably have this all wrong - can someone please set me straight? :D

Thanks for any help!

Our schedule is roughly every 2 weeks, on Wednesday in the AM Pacific time.

Sometimes we must postpone a patch a week to iron out some bugs that pop up at the last minute - which happened this time. In which case we bump the rest of the schedule a week so as not to do two releases one week apart.

We do also reserve the right to do emergency patches and down time as needed. We try not to do these, but it does happen sometimes.

Safest plan is to not schedule important events on Wednesdays if possible I think.
