I don't usually jump on bandwagons but I am seriously distressed about copybot. The parts of SL that I have loved, the parts that made me stay, were not the square boxes full of ad vendors to click on, but rather the places (Caledon, Julia Hathor's island, Hoffmann Estates...and on and on) where you can wander and look at the objects rezzed in world. Seeing things like working taps and wineglasses at Hoffmann estates, quaint greenhouses and candles in Caledon and the pure mind-boggling eye candy on Julia Hathor's island just simply grabbed me and hasn't let go.
I wanted to make a shop that was like a real antique shop full of really cool things, that people would walk up to and see and boggle just as I had.
So sadly, it seems that copybot is going to make that a thing of the past. Now the only safe thing to do will be to post pictures of the things you want to sell. You won't be able to climb into one of Julia's grotto's or open a fridge at Hoffmann estates or even see the real houses rezzed in world there -- everything will have to be in pictures, and the whole world will simply be a series of big shops with ad vendors, and red fences to keep people out (if that will even work ~ depending on the distance range of the copybot).
Honestly, I too am very, very saddened.
