Schedueled maintenance clarification

The blog states the schedueled release date for 1.12.4 to be November 15th and since it has protocol changes in it, I assume it'll need a grid shutdown to get deployed.

However Claudia Linden has a thread on the announcement forum that there will be downtime (as planned) this Wednesday for a viewer update and maintenance.

Did this week's update get pushed back, or will we have downtime both this and next week?

Scheduled downtime clarification

Kitty: Both Claudia and Josh were right. The downtime scheduled for this Wednesday (11/8) is for web system and network maintenance, but not for an updated code deploy. This is work that couldn't be delayed a week.

As Joshua indicated, the significant set of features and fixes currently on the Beta Grid are targeted for release on 11/15. We don't want to schedule a deploy for the shortened week of Thanksgiving, and the changes currently in the Beta viewer are such long awaited and requested features that we didn't want to hold them for another three weeks. So, the result is an unavoidable, but increasingly rare, scheduled downtime for consecutive Wednesdays.
