I asked this in a post with two distinct questions; an answer of sorts was given for the other question but no answer for this one:
There used to be a stated policy that disciplinary measures such as suspensions and permanent bans given in response to forum misconduct would apply inworld as well.
Since there seems to be at least one person recently permanently banned from the forums who has not been banned inworld, it occurs to me to ask: "Has this policy, of suspending or banning people inworld as a result of forum misconduct, been abandoned, and if so, replaced with what?".

It depends on the exact disciplinary action. Specifically:
* A general suspension will also lead to both an inworld and forum suspension (temporarily not being able to see the forums at all).
* However, some accounts are considered banned from the forums -- view-only but can't post in most sub-forums -- but are active inworld.
This hasn't been replaced with anything new. This dates back a long time.
