I see Joshua has had much the same reaction as I did, and put his comment here, so I will put the post I just made in the new version forum here, too. (It even has a question.) Here is what it said: How about the "end of jumps"? When I read the post heading under the main list of forums for "SL Answers", that said "The End of BUMPS!" I thought it was going to be something good. I thought it meant the end of jumping around when talking, but the Linden just thought of those in terms of "bumps," rather than "jumps." I should have known. The excitement in that post title is about SHUTTING US UP. Not giving us something useful. I can't tell you how this pisses me off. I can't remember, did Robin say that this return to jumping when talking was intended? Or are they going to fix that? coco

The return to jumping is not intended, and we are aware of it.
It is very unfortunate, and this isn't an excuse, but here is what seems to have happened. 1.12.1 included the final pieces of converting the UI to XML. This is an important feature in increasing the stability and performance of the UI while making the UI easier to test and change which should reduce bugs. It does this because it seperates the layout from the actual code, which is a big help. However it seems that the last stages of this conversion lost a couple of UI fixes that had recently been released.
We are aware of these and working to fix them. Please be sure to file bug reports for all such issues you find. It is hard to know what you don't know; while we think we have a handle on what needs to be fixed, it is your bug reports that help us make sure we catch every issue.
As for the end to bumps - it is not meant as a way to shut people up. We know we are behind in answering hotline posts. To make it as easy as possible for us to catch up and keep up we need to keep the forum as clean as possible. I have also been moving some threads to feature suggestions and merging others. Please do keep posting new questions, we do want to hear them.
