How do I advertise my store in classifieds

I have noticed that on the classifieds, there is a column that says how much they paid for an ad. How do I pay for an ad? I have the box checked to show my land in find, does the L30 per week put my ad in so that if someone does a search for an item I have, my ad will show up?

These are actually two different things, both ways of helping get more people aware of your spot in Second Life. I'll explain more.

1) To set up a Classified ad, which appears in FIND ---> CLASSIFIED tab, right-click your avatar, PROFILE, and click the CLASSIFIED tab. See the NEW button? It's pretty self-explanatory from there.

2) The results of "Show in Find Places" appear in FIND ---> PLACES, which is a more general listing of locations to be searched.

Both are beneficial, but make sure to fill out the fields to the fullest extent for maximum searchability. For example, in ABOUT LAND ---> GENERAL tab, write all about it in the "Description" field, as keywords from there will appear in a FIND ---> PLACES search!
