This is the last time that I'll post about this.

I feel strongly about it, but I can't see that my input has made any difference.

I post this merely as a summary of what has passed.

I feel the same way as you do, Shack--thanx for summing all of this up. I remember posting in some of those threads. It's long confused me how trees have such big bounding boxes, and to riff of what you said, they are awfully hard to select and won't glow! Add to that the benefits of the Linden trees that can't be done elsewhere, like how they sway in the breeze...

What's currently being worked on is SpeedTree for many improvements: greater realism and variety being two pillars. I don't have further details at this point, but I will go ahead and add your suggestions to what's already in the development queue.

I would certainly not want it to get lost. :)
