I need help with server problem

Over the past few months...almost a year...i have had a problem with secondlife. befor the new ver's of SL i was en able to connect the loading stops at preaching then sayes couldent get the log in packets. NOW it stops at getting region handshake and i still get was unable to get login packets. this is where i ask for help from a linden. The first thing to come to mind is "Oh...allow our ports its your firewall" thats not it..so i called my cable company and they asked me to do a trace on the server/main grid server or where ever my account packet it located and in order to do that i need a server adress which i dont have lol thats my question i need a server adress to i can get the "hops" from my computer to your server.
