Hello Blaze. Here is how to show QuickTime movies.

First, use the URL in QuickTime's own Player. You will want to verify it works there. I've seen many a time where someone wondered, "Why isn't this playing?" and turns out it was broken along. Assure yourself with a simple test.

Next, go to ABOUT LAND ---> MEDIA tab and paste the URL there, exactly as it is. Under "Replace this texture", click the swatch and assign a unique texture, perhaps one found nowhere else on your land. This is the "screen" texture that'll play your movie.

After that, make a flat screen, or it can actually be any object, as long as it uses that same texture you chose earlier. If you don't know which texture to choose, simply search your inventory for "*Default Media Texture" in the Library.

You should see a Movie Control with a play button at the bottom of the screen. If not, go to PREFERENCES menu ---> AUDIO/VIDEO and check PLAY STREAMING VIDEO, and OK it.

Following these steps, you and your friend should be able to enjoy your very own cinema. And, as an additional springboard, there are further tips in the Movies & Machinima forum:
Enjoy!
