Im completely unhappy with Zee Linden and the way this is being handled. It`s obvious there is so much unclarification and mind changing because this has not been thoroughly thought out and discussed, as it should have been.
Not only did Zee try to change the policy of the 3 month guarantee, he did so in the blog comments. You`re lucky enough to be getting people to read the blog, but he went ahead and posted this information in the COMMENTS section as if all would see. When the comment section starts getting full, it is very easy to skip over posts as well.
There was so much unclarity in his "we listened to you!" post; that I just went with what was in the FAQ and placed an order- as many others did. Later on I notice he clarifies something he had written in the main blog post:
"Please note that, as indicated previously, all Private Island regions may be subject to increased monthly maintenance fees upon transfer"
He says the above means that in order to stop people buying heaps of islands and later reselling, these islands will take on the new tier fee of $295usd. That is not what we were told yesterday when the FAQ sheet on this issue was released. This is not $1,250+ lindens we`re dealing with, we are dealing with real life funds; and that is not a game.
What has been published in the faq is what it needs to be. Period. It does not matter if people bought after the time Zee clarrified exactly what he meant. Too late! We already had an official word on the issue. I have acted and have 2 islands waiting; and if you guys screw up anymore and I need to sell- I expect to have these transferred to their new owner (if done in 3 months time) WITH the 195 tier fee attached for them.
