Wow, I'm not all to certain that this is going to be worth the double effort since the forum ate my post and it was rather long. Also did not let me go back so I could copy and paste it just disappeared.
Anyhow, in response to the response I received from Torley: I'm not nor never said basics were freeloaders. I am however against the whole open registration. The main reason I came here from The Sims Online was because it was adults only. Of those adults there were a larger percentage that cared about the game because they either paid for it or because their Real Life informations were attached to their accounts. This whole this has proven a major inconvenience to some of us.
LL couldn't control griefers before open registration how in the world do they intend to do it now. These people are right things are way out of hand and I for one do not want to sit by and watch it happen and not express major concern.
I do not want to be harsh but there is plenty other ways to have them dip their toes in at low risk as you say by way of free trials or at the very least back how it was with the proper registration process. I am not satisfied with this response at all. If we are a world of choice where was I when that vote happened? I don't recall being asked about open registrations before it was already said and done.
Bottom line is if I wanted to play with kids and immature people who care nothing for the game or it's progress I could play back at the sims online for 10USD a month. I'm really am not intending on an attack here, but unfortunately when I'm paying 75USD a month and 72USD a year for a little enlightment (that seems crazier everytime I type it) and I raise a legitimate concern about what's being done with my money I'd really appreciate a professional human response and not an inworld avatar one, because essentially what your response says to me is it's more worth it for me to be a basic account holder and nothing more.
Thank you,
Sorry again.
